I thought the most interesting part of what we read was talking about Chinas problems and i learned that China had a bad drug named opium and it lead to a big fued between British and the Chinese.
the part about the drugs between britain and china and how britain tride to make the trade even. I learned that the Chinese people had not wanted the drugs in their environment. The drug was called opium.
We read about the Causes of Decline and The Opium War. There were things that went on between Britian and China. Those were the drugs that they tride to trade. But China did not want them. By: Collin
Megan This section was about how china changed with the drugs and the Great Wall of China.
How mad they got from the drug selling of opium (a drug) with britain and china.
It was also about how china finnaly opened up and started to trade with other neighboring countries instead of hiding behind the Great Wall of China and trading with other parts of china. They opened up ports. But with all this opening teh dyanasty finally came to an end or came crashing down.
Peyton I learned about how the Chinese didn't like the drugs that the British brought into China. Also, the decline of the Qing Dynasty was because, the biggest reason, of the intense "outside" pressure applied to Chinese society by the modern West. The most interesting thing I learned would probably be that the Chinese don't have letters in their alphabet, they use symbols.
it was really hard.
